How Can I Be Saved?
Agree with God that you have sinned and are in bondage to sin.
The shackles of sin keep you from the presence of God’s glory. Sin binds you to death and hell. Agree with God that you do not have the strength to break free from sin and its consequences. “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin.” – Jesus Christ in John 8:34
Believe that God loves you and sent His Son to die on the cross for your sins.
Jesus died for your sins and was raised from the dead on the third day. “For when we were still without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly…” – Romans 5:6. “…Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and…he was buried, and…He rose again the third day according to the Scriptures…” – I Corinthians 15:3-4. “He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives…To set at liberty those who are oppressed…” – Jesus Christ in Luke 18:18.
Consider your options.
1. Stay in the bondage of sin and its consequences…or
2. Receive the gift of freedom from sin and hell.
“Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed…” – Jesus Christ in John 8:36.
Decide to trust Christ alone.
Turn from the bondage of sin and, by faith alone, receive your freedom from sin’s penalty. This trusting is apart from any religious effort or ceremony (such as church attendance, baptism, communion, or just being “nice”). “But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness…” – Romans 4:5. “For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death…” – Romans 8:2.
